November 19th, 2008 - Translation of Eunhye Korean Fanmeet - 11.02.08 - First Half

The Fanmeet was divided into first and second half. The Fanmeet opened with a video of Eunhye's three dramas, CF's and photoshoots. Then Eunhye came on stage and the fans sang 'Happy Birthday' with Eunhye blowing out the candles and cutting the cake. But Eunhye thought the cake was too pretty so she decided to cut around the heart shape. Eunhye called out the fans who's bdays fell on October 3rd as well as those who's birthdays were on October or November - they all got a slice of the cake / or a cupcake. The October 3rd birthday fans also got to take a photo with Eunhye.

The MC for the event was Babo Kim (stage name) from 'Namolla Family'. He was apparently very good, not talking over Eunhye, very calm and MC'ed the event very well. And he was also overly smitten by Eunhye.

The first half had many games that required fan participation, such as:
Singing the exact lyrics to Eunhye's songs - 'I Love You', 'Salad Song' (Zipel CF) and 'Superstar' (Haru Green Tea CF).
Eunhye's drawing sessions - Eunhye personally drew the those who got picked out - Eunhye drew their face on a cookie.
Writing Eunhye's name the fastest - in Korean, Chinese and English (the winner was a fan from Taiwan)
Lucky fans who got chosen also got to keep the rare unreleased framed and signed photos of Eunhye from photoshoots, etc, which were displayed outside in the lobby.

There was also a video message made by Eunhye's Taiwan FC. Some of the things said were:

Question and Answer time:
Q. Have you ever been troubled by fans?
A. I wasn't troubled by them, but it gets a little embarrassing when I have to show them my face all bloated after a long plane trip and after a long day's shoot, and my hair's all messed up, the fans somehow notice me and make their way over.. sometimes I try and escape..but it's never because I get burdened or troubled by the fans, but because i get embarrassed.

Q. Any hard-core fans?
A. My fans aren't really the extreme type, but on the Internet, when I get anti comments, they fight for my behalf as though it's their own personal matter. Although I don't like the fights, at times I do get refreshed by reading the fan's comments, like for example, "look at your own face, go get treated". But please don't get too involved and worked up for me.

Q. Fans who made you cry?
A. All my fans are precious to me. My Korean fans really look out for me and [I cry] when they take care of me in such detailed ways. And when my international fans sing for me in Korean, making little mistakes here and there.

Q. What are fans to you?
A. My family, my companions, my people

Q. The most memorable/shocking/surprising present you've received from a fan?
A. All the presents are precious and I'm thankful for each and every one of them. There was this fan letter that a young fan sent me.. the letter was in an envelope which was the placed inside a plastic bag. The plastic bag was wrapped in another plastic bag which was then wrapped in wrapping paper. The young fan wanted only me to open it up and I could really feel his sincerity.

Q. Your goal?
A. I don't have a goal. When I my desires get excessive, my stress builds up. I will do my best in all my given works, and if you believe in me, I will exceed your expectations. There will be times when I disappoint you, but trust to the end.

Q. Your role model?
A. I don't have one, because there is so much to learn from everyone. However, I try not to replicate or imitate them. I have high respect for Jeon Do Yeon sonbaenim.

Q. Role's you would like to do?
A. Just because I've done a role as a girl disguised as a guy, it doesnt mean I dont want to do it again. However, I would like to do a role that fits that situation.

Q. What is that special something that you possess?
A. Baeryoshim (meaning putting aside one's self and showing compassion and care)

Q. Something you are confident about?
A. I can endlessly give my all to the good people I like. Which is why at times I do get hurt.. and so my human relations are closed and small. I would like for my relationship with my fans to be gap less and closer.

November 19th, 2008 - Yoon Eunhye Korean Fanmeet 2008 - Audio Cut

Fans singing to Eunhye: The song they sang was Kim Jong Wook's "Only You", which they sang after Eunhye's letter to the fans. The reason why they chose to sing this song was because the lyrics spoke out exactly how they felt about Eunhye and where Eunhye was in their hearts. There was a fanview saying that when EUnhye was reading her letter to the fans, they could see tears welling up in Eunhye's eyes and could hear the choke on her voice, but Eunhye was trying extra hard not to cry. But when she heard the fans' singing, Eunhye couldn't control it anymore and started bawling. She had to fix her makeup after the song for photo time. There was another fanview explaining why the fans weren't singing loud enough; the reason was because they were all crying, and once they saw Eunhye bawling, they couldnt control themselves.

This is translation of what was said after the song:

MC + Fans: [Eunhye was crying] Uljima! Uljima! Don't cry! Don't cry!
Eunhye: Ah~ I really didn't want to cry today but ah jinjja! I don't like crying...
MC: We were all worrying about you, regarding the rumours and comments, hoping you wouldn't get too hurt by it. But in this moment, we are comforted by seeing and knowing just how strong a person you are and seeing you like this [crying] we are able to share this moment together as one. I myself also feel a sense of gratification.
Eunhye: Oh, just these past few days there were just so many difficult moments and...When I got halfway through reading [the letter] my tears just started welling up! At home I read this letter several times over, but not once did I get teary. I was even questioning myself 'why isn't it touching enough?'...I had no idea the lyrics would be... like this, I knew you were all going to sing this song, but I didnt know I was going to be crying like this, oh man...

September 20th, 2008 - Yoon Eunhye Japan Fan Meeting

The seating arrangement: Upstairs (can fit 500), downstairs (can fit 1500). There were about 1500+ attendees, but they decided to fit everyone downstairs to be eye level with Eunhye and sit closer, cozy and intimate.

The turnout was great, with fans coming from all over Japan, some even took 10+ hours to get to the fan meeting. There was a diverse fan range, from young and old, male and female, sick and healthy. Even fans who came all by themselves, not in a group, many of them being male fans.

Fans did see cameras from MNET Japan, but Eunhye purposely didn't bring along her own camera staff for the sake of her fans' peace of mind and comfort.

The MC was very experienced, having MC'ed fan meetings for at least 200 korean male stars. But Eunhye was his first korean female star, and throughout the fan meeting, he kept staring at Eunhye, saying "Kawaii... kawaii!! (cute)"

The fan meeting was organized into five segments:

1. Q&A time and best five scenes as chosen by the fans. Many questions were asked, some from the fans but mostly by the MC. Some of the questions were:

Q. Do you like coffee?
Q. What was it like spending Chuseok with your family? What did you do during the Chuseok holiday?
Q. How many times have you visited Japan?
Q. What was it like standing in front of the microphone, singing 'Saranghae' and 'Salad Song'?
Q. Any thoughts of making a comeback as a singer?
Q. What did u do after Coffee Prince?
Q. Have you decided on your next project?
A. No, not yet.
Q. What kind of role do you want to do next?

Best five scenes as chosen by the fans:

5th - The Vineyard Man - Episode 11: Dancing/Singing contest - Eunhye said it was all improvised/adlibbed from start to finish.

4th - Coffee Prince - Episode 6: Crying in Bus & Episode 10 - Eun Chan crying infront of house with the scene where she cried out "I'm neither a male nor female". Eunhye said she completely emptied herself, completely let herself go and couldnt stop crying even during standy because she was so deeply into the character and her emotional state. She shed a few tears while watching this scene.

3rd - Goong - Episode 16: Beach scene

2nd - Coffee Prince - Episode 9 - Where she confronts her costar and asks him "Do you really like me as a dongseng?"

1st - Goong - Episode 23 - Kiss scene

2. Picking Eunhye's ideal man, which was more like a prize draw for game winners and the lucky chosen ones. To the game winners, Eunhye gave out three of her personal belongings: the green olympics t-shirt she wore, which she posted on her Cyworld; a pair of shoes she wore in Coffee Prince (she later worried about the smell); the long necklace she wore in The Vineyard Man.

3. Eunhye singing. Eunhye sang a popular Japanese song "Nagai Aida" by "Kiroro". Eunhye said she practiced this so much since she didn't want to mispronounce a word and ruin the meaning of the song. Apparently Eunhye sang it so well, given that Eunhye normally starts off soft and nervous but hits off by the second verse.

4. Birthday song + video messages. The birthday cake was huge. The fans sang 'Happy Birthday'.

5. Group photos + handshaking session with ALL attendees. The groups were divided into about 50 groups of about 30 or so fans. The lucky fans who got 'selected' got to sit next to or stand nearest to Eunhye. Eunhye shook and greeted each and every one of the 1500+ fans who attended. This task, which is even difficult for male stars, did take a toll on Eunhye who reluctantly had to take a short break half way through. But Eunhye did well, even with sweat pouring down her neck. What's more, Eunhye started to apologise to the fans after her short break, for not being as energetic and cheerful as she should have been.

June 1st, 2008 - Eunhye's Next Film?

This is not fully confirmed.

Yoon Eunhye is very likely to be casted for the lead role in a movie called "Naya". (translation: "It's Me", "I Am", or it could be the name "Naya" )

The director of "My Father" (starring Daniel Henney) will be directing this movie. The plot is similar to "I Am Sam" (starring Sean Penn). The film is about a single mother who has the mental capacity of a child and has a 5 year old son and the film is about the two and the many events and happenings that surround the two.

The reason why the casting of Eunhye is not "fully" confirmed is because the producers are still waiting on the confirmation of the sponsors for the film. Once that has all been decided, the producers will officially announce the cast information.

During the phone conversation between Daily Zoom and Director Hwang, Dir. Hwang revealed that, "Nothing has been confirmed at this point in time... it is a true fact that we are actively considering the casting of Yoon Eunhye, however, as we have yet to decide on our sponsors, we are currently at the stage of waiting." Further to this, without revealing any actress's names, Dir. Hwang added that, "once the sponsors have been confirmed we were advised [by the actress] that we will hear from them soon after".

Regarding the story of the film, Dir Hwang explained that its about, "a not-so-bright mother and the process of her raising her son."

April 8th, 2008 - Eunhye Friends

Yoon Eun Hye: Actress. Former member of Baby Vox. During an episode of Happy Shares Company "Happiness of 10K won" Suh In Young, from Jewelry, had even prepared the "1000won supper" for this close friend.

The two bare many similarities - They are of the same age, had debuted during their school years, and the groups for which they were members of did not make it to the best of the best and have been revived by their respective agencys, (ie, Baby Vox > Baby Vox Rev and the new members of Jewelry). It may be for these reasons that these two have become comfortable around each other, and in 2005 it has been reported that they had become close friends after bumping into each other whilst shopping at Dongdaemun.

The two have eaten at each others places as well as sleeping over one another's places, and it has been known that Eunhye often gives personally hand-made accessories to In Young.

However, apart from Eunhye, In Young does not have other close/special friends, the reason being that "I don't want to get hurt".

March 25th, 2008 - With Fame, Yoon Eunhye Finds That Pain Is Part Of The Package

People often say that problems is part and parcel of the popularity package.

Thanks to the success of “Coffee Prince 1st Shop”, Yoon Eunhye popularity has not just risen in Korea alone but overseas as well. But more often than not, pain comes along with success which is part of the package.

Despite not having any dramas nor movies at the moment, her numerous product endorsements are already keeping her busy, leaving her with little time to recharge herself. Since her drama filming ended, she appears to be on vacation, but in reality, she is busy fulfiling her product endorsement duties. Basically, she has to work non-stop for around 20 days in a given month. Just this month alone, she has to film CFs for clothing chain, Basic House and Joinus. In early April, she has another v=b CF filming to handle too.

Right now, her product endorsements include Zipel fridges, coffee drink Latte Ditto, artificial eyedrops I20, clothing brands Basic House & Joinus, etc.

Companies who already have other stars on their books to endorse soju, tyres, sweets, fast food restaurants have also extended invitations to her, but because it didn’t fit with her image or schedule, she had to reject them.

And because “Coffee Shop 1st Prince” is highly popular in countries like Japan, China, etc, they have invited her over to promote the drama. But because of her already packed schedule, it’s impossible for her to allocate time for her to visit their countries. The Japanese media apparently got tired of waiting and suggested heading over to Korea in a group to interview her. She is now adjusting her schedule and is set to meet them in early April.

Since becoming an actress, she has become a highly sought after star in the industry. Rumours abound that you had to fork out 5 million KRW per episode for Eunhye in a drama series. But this is basically not true.

From a relatively newbie actress into a big star now, Yoon Eunhye is going through a tiring growing up phase. But she’s handling it well thus far!

March 7th, 2008 - Eunhye Interview

Cutting her hair short, wearing loose t-shirt and pants, delivering Zajjang noodles on her motor, audiences were full of doubts after seeing the Eun Chan on screen. Is this same person as the lovable princess in Goong? Not only that, Eun Hye’s choice of dramas and roles caught a lot of audiences off guard. She doesn’t look like a new-comer who had only acted in 3 dramas and her popularity continued to rise. Moreover, its not only her popularity is on the rise, her co-stars including Joo Ji Hoon, Oh Man Suk, Gong Yoo’s popularity is on the rise as well. As such, we can see the influence she has. After this, in what form will Eunhye attract the eyes of the audiences? We’ll have to anticipate Eunhye’s decision.

Rather than her hairstyle, Eunhye is more confident of the drama after meeting the producer.

Q:The promotion of Coffee Prince in Taiwan started in 2008. How was the response?

I’m very thankful for the large popularity and support received for Coffee Prince. It’s very special to be able to receive love and concern even from overseas, that’s why I’m more touched after knowing this.

Q: A lot of people said that they cannot imagine Eunhye outside of the character Go Eun Chan. How do you feel about this?

I think that it is the highest praise that can be received by an actress. My character is not exactly like Go Eun Chan in real life. To be specific, there are some similarities between Go Eun Chan and me, but in the beginning when I had to act as Go Eun Chan, I didn’t know where to start as I didn’t have any experience on how to act like a guy.

Q: What was your feeling after being offered a role which you have to act like a guy?

Frankly speaking, I’ll be lying if I tell you that I did not have any pressure. After accepting role and being told I had to cut my hair short, I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning as I’m quite tall and big size, so after cutting my hair short, I’ll look like a very healthy boy (laugh). But I liked the script after reading the first page and I upon reading the second page, I liked the character of Go Eun Chan more and more. I know that this is a role which is not easy to portray, but because of this I’ll want to give it a try.

I thought ‘There’ll always be a way! Because I’m a pretty girl, there’s why I cannot become an actress (laugh)”, but my opinions changed later. “I cannot give up the chance of being recognized as an actress. I met and talked a lot with the producer and gradually have the confidence of being able to accept the character. Therefore, I agreed to take on the role merely 1 week after being offered the role. I made some preparation in order to act like a guy.

After the confirmation of my participation in the drama, I started to observe only guys (laugh). Even when I read magazines, I’ll only look at the hair styles for guys. When I watch movies or dramas, I’ll also only look at the male characters. When I walk on the street, I also started looking at guys only. I realized that guys and girls react differently even when they are thrown in the same situation. I observed and analyzed the detailed difference between how a guy eat, walk and talk as compared to a girl. After that, I also made some effort in order to make my voice hoarse like a guy. I will take notice of those stuffs and now, I’m not used to it instead when I sounded feminine.

Q: Your short hair suits you well. What was your feeling when you were getting your hair cut?

In the beginning, I was hesitating about cutting my hair short. As I grow older, I got more “You’re prettier now” praises, besides that, I had bad memories of the short hair I had last time. But if I thought that it would be good if you look at Eun Chan’s appearance and you’ll feel her cuteness right away. It’s not important how others look at you. Therefore the week after I decided to take up the role, I decided to strike while the iron is hot and cut my hair short. At first my hair was cut a bit too short and I was not used to it. That hairstyle was quite cute…(laugh)It was a bit shorter compared to my hairstyle now. It’s quite scary to cut my hair so short suddenly, but I didn’t cry when I my hair was being cut! (laugh) My hair is slightly neater and longer now. Hope it’ll grow to my shoulders soon. I was very happy during my preparation before the shooting. I slept well during my free time.

Q: Is it hard dressing up as Eun Chan?

No matter how much Eun Chan looks like a guy, she’s still a girl afterall. Both me and the audience are well aware that the Eun Chan in Coffee Prince is still a girl, therefore I don’t have to think too deep when I was acting as Eun Chan (?). To me, the masculine and feminine side of Eun Chan has to be managed well. I don’t know whether I did it well.

Q: What do you think is Eun Chan’s charm?

Eun Chan is a very straightforward/frank person who doesn’t know how to conceal her feelings. Therefore even without the cute clothing or cute expression, Eun Chan is still the cute Eun Chan. I feel that is her charm.

Q: You give us an impression of being not fearful and did your best to act out this character.

If you’re talking about feeling fearful, I should say that I was fearful in the beginning as I was afraid of not being about to do a good job acting as Go Eun Chan. But the more I read the scripts the more I feel that I should do something for this character. Should I make some sacrifice for the character and whether I can go to that extent? That’s also the case for Eun Chan. Cute, Pretty, no matter what I have to forsake that right from the beginning. I’m still a girl afterall and sometime when I see myself on screen, I’ll feel desolate as I don’t wish to see myself look ugly too. But even though I may say this, it’s actually only my feelings at that moment. Instead, I’m happy being the Eun Chan, from behaving like a guy in the beginning to being the completely unfeminine Eun Chan.

Q: In specific, which aspects (of the drama) make you happy?

As compared to the others, I only need a very short time to get ready (laugh). I do not have to put on makeup most of the time. Even my hair needed very little styling. Among all the dramas I have acted in, only this drama make me feel that I have sufficient sleep. It’s the same with the clothing, most of the time, I have been wearing fitting clothes but Eun Chan always wear loose pants coupled with big sized t-shirt, therefore it’s good that I do not have to be mindful of my figure.

Q: The tomboyish appearance has become the talk of the town.

Eun Chan’s family is not very rich, even though she’s very young, she still have to take on the role of a parent, so its impossible for her to be wearing expensive or new clothes. The producer needs Eun Chan to be a person who will be excited/happy to buy a 20 000 won clothes even though she only has 30 000 won pocket money. Therefore Eun Chan does not have pretty clothes that looked like they have just been taken out of the wardrobe. Instead all the clothes we chose for Eun Chan are those kind of clothes that looked as if they have been thrown anywhere in the house, and those kind of clothes that you just change into (without much consideration) when you get out of bed.

Q: There were lots of scene of you gobbling down/stuffing yourself with food.

In the beginning, I specially put on more weight to make myself look plumper, but as there’s a lot of eating scenes, I gradually put on weight as the filming progresses. The producer will look at the monitor and teased (during filming) “Here it comes, here it comes, here comes the meat~” (laugh).

Warm hearted Gong Yoo and Carefree Lee Seon Gyun

Q: How do you feel working with the producer?

I was slightly trembling with nervousness during the first day of filming. I was also very nervous the day before the actual filming started and couldn’t sleep the night before. I don’t recall how I managed to act the scenes. After hearing the word “CUT”, I’ll be filled with energy/drive once I hear a word of praise from the producer. Before every scene, the producer will ask me “How are you going to act out the scene?” At first I was a bit worried, but the producer’s thinking is similar to mine. During later phrase of the filming, we understand each other perfectly and are able to communicate effortlessly and get along very well with each other.

Q: When acting as Eun Chan, did you feel anxious hiding Eun Chan’s identity as a girl from Han Kyul? [Did you feel anxious when Eun Chan kept her identity hidden fromHan Kyul?]

After Han Kyul knew that Eun Chan is a girl, he was furious with Eun Chan for lying to him. After that, both of them went through a lot of trials. At that time, I had a lot of crying scenes for the whole of that week and it was quite hard on me. But I think that it’s because of those pain which they have gone through which allowed us to see both of them being blissful together in the end.

Q: You acted as a couple with Gong Yoo (on screen) what kind of person is he?

Gong Yoo is a person who is able to communicate sincerely with his co-star. Not only will he think about how he will act, he will also match/coordinate his acting to match up with his co-stars. That’s why I was able to work together well with him. Maybe it’s because I don’t look like a girl (laugh). I don’t really know much about Gong Yoo before working together with him on Coffee Prince, but after working together, I find that he’s really a warm person. I learnt a lot from him, he also taught me a lot of things and helped me a lot during filming. Without Gong Yoo, I think that I would only be able to display half of the Eun Chan we see now.

Q: Did you give Gong Yoo any words of encouragements before his enlistment?

The cast attended his farewell party that time, but I wasn’t feeling well that day, so I wasn’t able to attend it. I gave him a call to bid farewell to him and gave him some words of encouragements.

Q: Was it hard for you during the scene where you had to carry Gong Yoo?

Even though I also carried other celebrities on variety shows I appeared in last time, it’s slightly different in a drama. Not only do I have to carry Gong Yoo normally, but Han Kyul was also supposed to be drank and weak in that situation. It was really tiring that time and he was really very heavy (laugh). But in the role of Eun Chan, I have to act as if he was not heavy at all, so it’s much harder.

Q: Eun Chan was attracted to Han Seong in the beginning and only fell for Han Kyul later. Can you comprehend Eun Chan’s feeling?

Han Seong ajusshi is a very steady/dependable person who is like a father (to Eun Chan) and I think that was the reason Eun Chan was attracted to him. On the other hand, the reason why Eun Chan was attracted to Han Kyul is completely different. Eun Chan never had experience of being loved/doted by anybody before, so I think it’s because of this that made her fall for Han Kyul. Even though it seems like she fell for both of them at the same time, I think that it is quite a possible situation. But in this situation, there is only 1 person whom Eun Chan truly loved.

Q: What kind of person is Lee Sung Gyun?

I feel that I’m not in a position to judge my senior, but he’s really a carefree person. I feel very comfortable and happy when I’m with him.

Treated like a brother by everybody

Q: It’s your 2nd time working together with Kim Chang Wan right?

Frankly speaking, I didn’t get to talk to him during the filming of The Vineyard Man. So I had an impression that he was a bit hard to get along with. However after interaction, I think that he’s a very warm/gentle and outstanding senior. I’m very fortunate to be able to be friends with him.

Q: What are your feelings of the three princes?

Three of them are very charismatic. Dong Wook is a great actor and he is also a very cute and friendly person in real life. Eon is a very multi-talented guy and he seems to know how to do everything. From radio DJ, club DJ, and then to acting, modeling…. He’s a very warm person. Jae Wook gives me an impression that he’s cold and cool at first, but after interacting with him, you’ll realized that he’s actually a warm person, just like a friendly brother. He also has a very individual fashion sense and likes to dress up.

Q: I heard that everybody treated you like a guy.

I have already expected that, so I didn’t feel desolated about it. But I didn’t expect everybody to treat me like a guy to that extent (laugh). They joke around with me like I’m their younger brother. Even the producer comforted me by saying “You don’t have to cover it up, it’s more like Eun Chan this way” when she saw me getting worried over the pimples on my face. Thinking about it, they often mix Dong Wook and me up. Maybe it’s because Dong Wook have quite feminine features. It seems like even the producer is unable to differentiate us from our back view.

Q: Which scene is still fresh in your mind?

The scene in episode 10 when Eun Chan was walking with Han Kyul and said “How? I don’t look like a guy or girl. I’m very afraid, but I can’t say anything…” and cried. In the beginning, I tried very hard to make myself cry, but I was too preoccupied wanting to act it out well, and it made me too tensed up. Even though tears were welling up in my eyes, I just couldn’t act out like what I wanted to. I felt suffocated and it was hard to even breathe. After that, I decided not to be too mindful of being able to act well but to let my feelings lead me. At that moment, the feeling of my heart being emptied overwhelmed me and tears started streaming down my face. That was the most memorable scene. I feel that rather than the satisfaction of my improvement in acting, it was more of being able to display well on screen the heart break and unwillingness of Eun Chan to give up the relationship.

Q: Who is the one who influences the mood/atmosphere on the set?

It’s the producer. The laughter of the producer is very unique (laugh), it can ease the tensed atmosphere on set.

Q: Everybody said that Eun Hye is very feminine. What do you think your character is like (in real life)? Feeling sad after having to separate from the producer who helped her become a real actress

Q: The music (songs) used in Coffee Prince is well-liked. Which is your favorite music (song) used in the Coffee Prince drama?

The song by Kim Yeon Wu “I don’t know love”. Actually this song was already in Escape from love [2006] OST, that’s why I didn’t recommend it to the producer. But one day when I was watching the drama, this song was played in the scene in Episode 9 when Han Kyul and Eun Chan were sad/hurt in the relationship. At that moment, I had goose bumps (when watching the scene with that song). From that moment on, I decided to like the producer from the bottom of my heart (laugh).

Q: We heard that the drawings on the windows of the Coffee Prince café was drawn by you personally.

I try as much as possible to take part in things which I can do for the drama. I’m a person who likes to draw and in the beginning, I was just scrawling. For example the note on the milk carton where Eun Chan gave to Han Kyul, the drawing which was pasted on Han Kyul’s door and the illustrations on the windows of Coffee Prince café etc was by me. As I didn’t have any trainings/courses (in drawings) before, the stuffs I drew looked abstract (laugh).

Q: You often take on-the-scene photos during you free time on the set?

(The reason I like to take photos) Is to put them up on my CY, but the main reason why I like to take on-the-scene photos is because I want to capture those stuffs I see and store them down as memory. If I don’t take photos, it’ll only be stored in my mind. I find it a pity, so I started taking photos and the next time when I see those photos, I’ll be able to remember “ah, it was like that that time...”

Q: After the filming of Coffee Prince, it’s hard for you to depart from Eun Chan’s character right?

During the filming of the special episode, my tears started rolling uncontrollably in the BBQ café. I cried continuously for almost 8 hours. I hate to part with Eun Chan, and it’s especially painful having to part with the producer. During the few months after the filming ended, I kept calling the producer up on the phone. I really hope to be able to meet up with the producer often, but I thought that it should be time for me leave Eun Chan and start to prepare for other projects so I restrained myself (laugh).

Q: What did you get from “Coffee Prince”?

Lee Yoon Jung producer enabled me to become a real actress. Before this, no matter what I do, I was only the topic of a conversation during people’s casual conversation and it’s easy for me to be classified as a celebrity with a lot of gossips. However thanks to the producer, I was finally able to ditch the image of being known merely a celebrity with a lot of gossips. I feel that this will allow me to be a step closer to being a real actress. I’m very fortunate to be able to be known as an actress and also very happy to be voted as the most anticipated female actress born in the year of rat.

Q: Do you like coffee?

I still didn’t know how to differentiate the taste of the various types of coffee after Coffee Prince wrapped up. But now I’m deeply drawn to coffee. I especially like American style coffee!

Q: Do you like to go travel to Japan?

I will still go there!

Q: Being an actress, what do you think is your strength?

Among all those praises I heard, the one which make me most happy is “Yoon Eun Hye, we can’t predict what kind of acting you will be showing us next.” I didn’t have any formal training on acting before, therefore I do not have a particular strong preconceived idea on acting. When I’m acting, I don’t stick to a particular rule or model, maybe that’s the so-called strength. Even though it is important to learn proper acting techniques, but I feel that it is also very important to be able to grasp your own performance and to check your own performance on-the-scene as I feel that it is very important to be able to understand your own acting abilities. Isn’t it most important to cultivate the ability to accommodate your role?

Q: What kind of role would you like to challenge next?

As I’m merely a new actress who has only acted in three dramas, I still have a lot of things which I can show to the audience, and besides that, I’m only 25 years old. Of course I would not want to miss those roles which I can act in, given my current age as well as those roles which I can only act now. I’ve received a lot of good scripts recently and is happily reading them currently. However the details have not been decided. Compared to dramas, there are more stuffs in movies which I’m interested in, so maybe I’ll decide to act in a movie next time.

Q: What are your feelings of being said that you have been taking on similar roles (in drama)?

I’m not afraid of taking on different roles at all. The public seems to like ‘transformation/changes’ in actors. I don’t feel that the Chae Gyung in Goong and Ji Hyun in The Vineyard Man are similar in any way, but after hearing a lot of people saying that the characters are a repeat of each other, I felt quite sorry. Maybe it’s because of that, there may be times where I force myself to have some changes. It seems like ‘transformation’ had become an obligation for me unconsciously.

It surprised me that the Eunhye in photoshoots for fashion magazines looked very different from the Eunhye we see in dramas and variety shows. During those assignments (photoshoots) I’ll try my best to showcase the other looks of me which people seldom see. It’s very interesting. The feelings of being able to challenge myself to achieve a new look always allow me to be able to work happily.

Q: How do you spend your rest/free time?

I mainly travel abroad. I especially like to go Japan. I went Japan half a year ago and at that time, I even brought along the outline for Coffee Prince to read (laugh). I’ve decided to go Japan again soon!

Q: Words to say to your fans in Japan.

Coffee Prince is really a production which you can feel blissful. Wish that Japanese fans who have watched Coffee Prince can be blissful. Lets all feel the warmth (of Coffee Prince). Thank You~!

February 27th, 2008 - Eunhye's Cyworld Diary Entry About Singing Again

There was an article today...

Hmm ..people who like it gave me the opportunity so I could (do something) with my lack of skills...

The song came out nice... it's a relief..

It was a disaster at first..

I don't know if the article was saying because I want to pointlessly become a singer..

Do you know how many talented singers there are these days?~ T_T;;

I can't even sing, let alone be a singer.. lol

Stuff about come-back or whatever.. ahh just thinking about that makes me stress so much!! puehehe~

Still, this kind of opportunity is rare.

This is a worry (or, what a dilemma)..

.....................hehe oh well~~^^

I'm going to work up some courage to try recording again~ although I don't know if it will become a title.. -.-;;

The song came out really well, so... looking foward to it

I think I'm doing a lot of things with my time while I'm resting ^^

The good thing is that when you listen to the song.. it might not be the best..

but I don't think you'll ever forget EunHye~ lol

or not...

Anyway, I will return to an actress who is one step more mature really soon..~!

Anyway - I hope the Mountain Mouth (She probably means Mighty Mouth) (singers) oppas do well! Fighting!!!

Fighting for EunHye too, and Fighting to all of you, too!

Hope everybody is happy in 2008~

February 16th, 2008 - Kim Taehee, Yoon Eunhye, Jeong Ryeowon becoming a big 'threat' to the big seniors of the CF Industry

With a start of a new year, there is an atmosphere of the member replacements in various industries. And the CF industry is no exception to this.

A number of top female stars are now giving up their titles of CF Queens to the new generation of top female stars. Since the end of last year, the advertising agencies are having difficulties deciding between the old models that are familiar with the consumers and the new models with uniqueness and originality.

For example, Lee Young-ae, who had been LG Whisen (Open the link) Air Condition's model for last 4 years, was replaced by Jeong Ryeo-won. Jeong Ryeo-won took over Lee Young-ae's place with Lee Seon-gyoon as her partner and some points out that she lacks the charisma to be the brand's model while some support her by saying that the change of the model had positive effects on the image of the company.

In addition, Kim Nam-joo, who had been the Lady of Daewoo Construction Prugio for last 7 years, handed over her place to Kim Tae-hee. Samsung Electronics Zipel has also chosen Yoon Eun-hye as their next generation of models to add some fresh image to the brand.

In comparison to the advertisement of food or drink which changes their model frequently to satisfy the popular culture of the time, the construction and household appliance companies had been keeping the same model for quite a long period of time to establish familiarity between the model and the consumers. Thus this new trend in the CF industry is seen as an exceptional case.

A spokesman from an advertising agency explained, "There is no 'special' reason or cause behind this new trend. Rather it is a result of the mutual need of many companies seeking a new and original image which was met by the rising of the new generation female stars. Despite what is being said about this new trend, the previous generation of models still have strong influence in the industry. For example, this is Lee Mi-yeon's 7th years working as a model for Doosan Construction Company. Thus this phenomenon is just a chance event during this re-contracting period rather than the replacement of a whole generation of models as many seems to think".

However, he also added that the new generation of female stars include Yoon Eun-hye, Jeong Ryeo-won and Kim Ah-joong will be threats to previous generation of models for quite a time because they are both original and new as well as they have already established strong familiarity with the general public.

February 3rd, 2008 - Eunhye is CF Queen

Eunhye has firmly made a seat for herself as the CF Queen as she lands herself a lucrative endorsement deal in what's coined as the "blue chip" of the CF industry. ("Blue-chip" is the word that was coined by the people in the CF industry to describe the "elite", "premium" ie: money-raking products. The prime "blue-chip" product is real-estate, ie: premium apartments.)

Samsung has signed Eunhye on a lucrative one-year contract as the new face of Samsung's premium refrigerator range "Zipel". Samsung was searching for a new fresh and vibrant face to represent their premium brand (previous models being Cha Im Pyo and Kim Nam Joo).

According to Samsung's rep, "We chose Eunhye to be our new model, because we believe that one of Eunhye's strongest assets is her friendly and familiar on-screen presence which reaches out to all ages." The rep also added "Eunhye can effectively portray both a bright and vibrant image but she also has the ability to add a sense of sophistication to that image. Hence, we strongly believe that with the help of Eunhye, we will be able to change "Zipel" to a more fresh and youthful image, and we are definately looking forward to that."

Regarding this new deal, Eunhye expressed that "as an actress, I've always wanted to be the face of an electrical home appliance and now I feel like I've finally received a gift that I've long awaited for." Eunhye also added, "I will try my best to act with a new freshness to represent and become one with the Zipel brand."

Eunhye replied, "I'm not that much of a strong drinker, but i use my mental strength to stay sober." Eunhye also added, "I don't drink soju, but I do enjoy drinking bomb shots", an answer surprising both interviewer and the audience. (shot of soju plus a glass of beer = bomb shot)

January 21st, 2008 - Yoon Eunhye, 'Busy, too busy'..

Eunhye's schedule is packed with CF shoots and photoshoots during break. Eunhye is currently resting after the successful finale of her latest drama "1st of Coffee Prince".

However, even during this break Eunhye has been busy endorsing and shooting the advertisements for Eye Drops, Coffee, Casual Wear, Formal Wear and IPTV.

Most recently, Eunhye has been busy signing on as the new face of a large company and is also finalizing the end of a previous endorsement. According to one of Eunhye's representatives, "although Eunhye is not currently acting, she has been very busy shooting CF's and other shoots relating to the advertisements, as well as viewing the many scripts and roles that have been requested to her." The representative added that, "regarding her next project, I believe she's taking her time with her decision, as there still remains the remnants of Coffee Prince and additionally, all the scripts that have come through have been good which is making it hard to decide on just one project."

Eunhye's representative also announced that, "seeing as most of the dramas have been officially lined up for the first half of 2008, the earliest that we will see of Eunhye on-screen will most probably be in the next seven-eight months where the dramas for the second half of the year will be lined up."

January 21st, 2008 - Eunhye's 2008 Plans

Yoon Eunhye has hit base with the three dramas, "Goong," "Vineyard Man," and "Coffee Prince" and revealed that she will not do production activities for the next seven-eight months.

Yoon Eunhye's director Park Keun Soo says on January 18th, "Eunhye decided it would be hard to show something new in a trendy romance style drama right now," and "in the first half the year, she is not going to any product activities and will return with a new and developed image by self-discovery for a drama in the second half of the year."

During that time, Eunhye has been rushed with offers and proposition. She has been assured with popularity and has received a hot "love call" from drama and movie producers. Especially in the summer drama "Coffee Prince" she fluttered the viewers' hearts as Go Eun Chan, a woman disguised as a man, and has even been named "the year-of-the-mouse celebrity who's work is most expected this year".

However, she has rejected Kim Jong Hak Production's "Full House 2" and "Awakening Scandal", and has closed a movie scenario that was at the height of examination. Eunhye intends to rest for almost a year after "Coffee Prince" which has ended in August.

If the source is correct, Eunhye is planned to do challenge as a Radio DJ for the first half of the year. She is becoming a radio DJ, which she's interested in, to tidy up her speech. In her spare time, she plans to study Japanese and English and read books, and improve as an actress. So for the second half of the year, she is strategizing to create a product that is worth calling "Eunhye's masterpiece/most important work"with a completely different image than now.

Eunhye has recently been to Taiwan for a "Coffee Prince" promotion, and has gone to New York to film the show "She's O'live, Yoon Eunhye in New York" on the cable channel O'live to show her trip.

January 21st, 2008 - Eunhye Went to New York

The photos of Yoon Eun-hye, which were taken while she was at New York, were released. Already these pictures became a hot topic among the public.

The account of Yoon Eun-hye's visit in New York will be broadcast on a cable channel and is already gaining a huge interest from the public. The photos show Yoon Eun-hye's typical cuteness and vivacity, who went to New York with her best friend.

In her pictures, she maintained simple but stylist attires. While she displayed a sophisticate look with glasses and a camera in her hand, taking photos of New York; the photos of her jogging in short and hood T-shirt and play with a dog she met on the way reminds us of Eun-chan from her latest drama, "Coffee Prince".

Many are envious of Yoon Eun-hye's long holiday in New York where she enjoying visiting various museums, restaurants and shopping streets.

She now has longer hair and looks more feminine than how she was in "Coffee Prince". She keeps getting prettier every time we look at her. I'm sure other women would like to know the secrets behind her increasing beauty.

January 7th, 2008 - Eunhye Recieves a Letter from Woo Gyu Min

[Winter Letter] LGTwins Pitcher Woo Gyu Min: "My friend, Eun Hye!"

To. Yoon Eun Hye

Hey, Eun Hye! Were you surprised with this sudden letter?

I wanted to write a letter, but I'm worried and nervous because I don't know if you remember me or not.

I'm Woo Gyu Min from your 4th grade number 3 class at Jamjun elementary school. I was in the same class, remember? We were in the same class during first semester, but I moved to Sung Deung Eelementary School during the second semester... and I heard you also moved to a different school after second semester finished.

Would you remember if I said this? I was the class leader. haha

Some time ago, you were on the show, "TV Carries Love". At that time, you were in Baby VOX and I think I just entered LG and turned pro.

I couldn't see the show myself, but my friends told me that you were looking for your second semester class leader. I just found out then that you were the Yoon Eun Hye in Baby VOX. Why didn't you look for your first semester class leader? hahaha

Truthfully, when we were younger, I made fun of you a lot. I called you "teacher's pet". When I think about it now, it was so childish. I know it's kind of late, but I'm sorry for calling you names. ^^;;

Nowadays, I am watching you on TV a lot. I was also a big fan who always watched you from 'Goong' to 'Coffee Prince'.

I think it's pretty cool that my childhood friend is a top star who comes out on TV every day now... I think you were very calm with big round eyes when you were little, but now that I see you acting so energetic on TV, it makes me happy. And I saw you also won an award at the Drama Awards. Congratulations.

I became a pro baseball player. After I transfered schools, I joined the baseball club and I fell deeply into the world of baseball. Now I'm a complete pitcher on LG Twins.

If you think about it, the past year was great for both of us. You completely succeeded as Go Eun Chan, and I finished for our team this whole season for the firs time.

Let's both do well for this year too. It would be great if you became an even more respected actress and I became the "king-of-saves".

If you remember me or not, give me a call. I can invite you to our home games for the whole season. Although I don't know if you like baseball.. hahaha. If there is ever a chance, it would be great if you opened a game for us this year. hahaha

Well then, be healthy and have a Happy New Year with many blessings. Bye.

From LG Woo Gyu Min

January 7th, 2008 - Eunhye's Taiwan Press Conference and More Taiwan News

Being shot and filmed even after changing clothes, Eunhye is unhappy. Eun Hye revealed her shoulders by wearing a champagne coloured little dress to the press conference, adjusting them from time to time, worried about being exposed. Eun Hye is in Taiwan as her new show is being broadcast.

Korean actress Yoon Eun Hye acted as a handsome pretty boy in the show ‘The First Shop of Coffee Prince’, but in fact she’s very girly in real life. Yesterday, when she was being asked by the media about her feelings after her hot kiss with Gong Yoo and Lee Seon Gyun, her face blushed like a shy girl immediately. She said “The kiss with Seon Gyun is merely a gentle/light meeting of the lips, while the kiss with Gong Yoo is a lovers’ hot/passionate kiss.” When asked how she felt after the kiss, Yoon Eun Hye said shyly “I don’t know!”

Yoon Eun Hye arrived in Taiwan the day before. She went for sightseeing at Taipei 101 during her free time and even wore a big scarf to change her attire(to hide herself), but still got shot by paparazzi. Her mood was greatly affect and she even lost her appetite. The TV station treated her to a Japanese restaurant for a meal but she used the excuse of wanting to rest and stayed in the hotel without eating the whole night.

This is the fourth time she visited Taiwan, but because of the incident during the Asian Film Festival, she took a lot of safety measures this time and wore a shoulder revealing champagne coloured little dress with a tube inside, along with black stockings during the press conference yesterday. During the interview session, Yoon Eun Hye answered questions with friendly smile, her hands still holding on securely to the pillow to cover her short skirt, unable to hide her fear in front of the camera. In order to protect the artist, her management company requested before the interview to look at the newspaper content and photographs and did not allow the photographers to use flash for fear of shocking/frightening Eun Hye during her interview. The protective measures are too musc and thus allowed the media to have negative comments.

Yoon Eun Hye cut her hair short, went on screen without makeup and even had to learn to ride the scooter, carry heavy objects and once, she even stepped on a nail accidentally during the filming of Coffee Prince. She revealed that in a scene where she had a zazang noodle eating competiton, she ate 50 bowls of zazang noodles with her co-star and she grew fat after the whole filming of Coffee Prince. Yoon Eun Hye also showed her barista skills, drawing a kitten on the coffee with caramel sauce to give to two of her fans, contributing 10,000 TWD(from the bids) to charity. Eunhye had high expectations and felt that the milk was too fluffy and that the coffee she made was not good enough. Coffee Prince would be aired in Taiwan Korean channel every Monday to Friday at 10pm and there would be a repeat telecast but without Chinese dubs at 12am.

Being interested in food, at the press conferent, Eunhye took the ring lollipop happily to eat and also played some lot picking game after the MC brought in some Taiwanese snacks. Eun Hye sacrifice quite a lot for the show and she said that she and her co-star ate a total of 50 zazang noodle for that scene and she grew even fatter after the filming.

In the drama ‘The First Shop of Coffee Prince”, Eunhye made a lot of sacrifice to act as a Tomboy. In order to look like a guy thoroughly, she binded her chest and went without makeup on screen. Eunhye said that her chest was binded tightly and uncomfortable. Sometimes she wanted to loosen the bind but in order to look like a guy in front of the camera, she put up with the pain and continued to film with the bind.

In the drama, Eunhye is a person with a big appetite and a strong girl warrior, but in real life, Eunhye is actually very lady-like. Eunhye said that she often got hurt during the film. Sometimes it's falling down when she’s riding the bike, sometimes its stepping on a nail barefooted. In the end even the director treated her like guy, asking her to carry heavy objects.

Eunhye said that because she would look like a girl even if she just put foundation on her face, therefore in order to make herself more man, she had to go on screen without any make up and tell herself that the acting in this show was not to be for her to dress pretty on screen, she’ll still appear on screen even if she had pimples.

January 7th, 2008 - Eunhye in Taiwan Report

Eunhye didn't expect that she'd be the first Korean star to go to Taiwan, as she was supposed to go to Taiwan for promotion during December 2007. But she received some new work and had to push back the Taiwan promotion to January of this year.

Eunhye says she's already very familiar with Taiwan and besides the reporter conference, she had planned many personal schedule items, like going to the night market, eating Taiwan food ,going to have a foot massage.

Eunhye's Taiwan fanclub sang the Korean song "I Love You Forever" to welcome Eunhye in the airport and the tired Eunhye, who had just finished the New Year Countdown event, came to Taiwan after that without much rest. She smiled happily after hearing the song by the fanclub. Eunhye is still corncerned about the incident which happened last year during the Asian Pacific Film Festival where the paparazzi took an unsightly photograph of her. Therefore this time when she came to Taiwan, she had six bodyguards with her. At first they had arranged a van for her transportation but they requested for it to be changed to a less eye-catching car. Besides the scheduled reporter's conference this afternoon, her other schedules are no longer scheduled beforehand or announced and it would only be told to the others accompanying her just before she set off to the place.

Upon arriving at her hotel, Eunhye went into her room and saw the specially prepared Korean cup noodles and excitedly opened the cup noodles to eat. She also asked her minders to buy more of the cup noodles. Her good appetite is just like the Go Eun Chan in Coffee Prince. Last night the manager also treated Eunhye to high class Japanaese food to thank Eunhye for her hardwork to coming to Taiwan just after her New Year countdown event.

Almost 100 fans were at the airport to see Eunhye and the fan club even sang the "I Love You Forever" song which surprised Eunhye ,who stopped walking to listen to them. But the crowd got bigger and bigger and the perviously smiling Eunhye became scared and became expressionless. In the end she was escorted to the car by six bodyguards and forgot to take her luggage. She's going to make coffee for the two successful bidders during the reporter conference today.

After Eunhye left the airport, she got in her van immediately and went to the hotel. Eunhye had Chinese food and after resting, she changed into a black and white coat, baseball cap, and a beige coloured extra big scarf to hide half her face and prepared to shop at Taiwan 101 with her crew. As it is not an official schedule, the media following and shooting photos of Eunhye had displeased Eunhye's manager. Not long after getting on the escalator to keep off the media, they only shopped for a few minutes and went back disappointed.

January 21st, 2008 - Congratulations to Eunhye and Gong Hyo Jin for Both Winning the Top Excellence Award!

Here is Eunhye's speech:

"First, I'd like to thank the Father God, and I'd also like to thank my mom and dad.

When I was selected as a nominee, I thought it was it was a bit arrogant to have the feeling to want to win, but I feel so happy now that I've won!

After the first episode aired, I heard comments like "Her intonation is bad" or "She is doing poorly," but the Coffee Prince team was very nice to me. They just told me too keep working hard, and that I'm doing well. They were very good to me.

Anyway, it's amazing that I received this award, and I love my family... and I want to thank those who made me into a woman, like my stylist Sang Eun unnie, Eun Dol, and... ahh there's so many people I'm thankful to! Um, Cho Rong ee, Bo Ram, director, the Kraze entertainment family who allowed me to turn a new path, and most of all our Lee Yoon Jung PD, I love you so much, and thank you so much for making me into an actress. I'll do my best!

After her speech, they're talking about Gong Hyo Jin's dress and concept and the MC said:

"And Yoon Eunhye! Your dress is very unique as well." She says "They're pants! I'm Eun Chan, so I wanted the pants-concept, but I still wanted to look like a girl, so I wore it pretty." Then he says "Yoon Eunhye, in case you regret it later, is there anybody you'd like to thank that you didn't get to?" She says "My manager. You guys worked so hard. And there are many people around me, who always support me so I can become great. So thank you."

The MC's ask again, "Gong Yoo is going to the military service. Can you say something to him?" Eunhye's response was: "My younger brother is in the military service as well. I know he will work hard and return. Fighting!"

December 22nd, 2007 - Eunhye in Full House Sequel?

Yoon Eunhye acted in Goong and 1st Shop of Coffee Prince. Each drama received good ratings. Korean media Star News reported that Full House Sequel 2 has plans to invite her, taking over the role from Song Hye Gyo.

The crew of FH2 announced days ago that they would start filming early next year. However Rain, Song Hye Gyo, and the original cast, all cited busy schedules as their reason for turning down the invitions. December 15th, 2007 - Outstanding Actress = Yoon Eunhye

If we hadn't discovered Yoon Eunhye, who started out as a member of an idol group, and her abilities as an actress, it would have been a devastating loss. Starting with MBC's "Goong", then KBS2's "The Vineyard Man" and again with MBC's "Coffee Prince", Eunhye had created and re-created the new ideal "tomboy" model, hence raising the standard of female roles in Korean Dramas.

Moreover, Eunhye's acting style is all natural. The liviliness bursting out of Eunhye's petite body sprang natural life into her character. Her free and unrestrained acting and unimpeded line delivery gave vitality and animation into "Coffee Prince"'s crossing dressing "Eun Chan" and elevated the role to its peak. The CP's who had evaluated YEH and her acting had assessed Eunhye as having great potential for success. Upon this evaluation, the CP's slapped their knees as if they had unearthed a great phenomenon.

December 1st, 2007 - Eunhye Helps Out Needy Children

In preparation for the fifth anniversary of the "Angels Trust/Letter", our studio is now very crowded due to the two newborns and five to six disabled children. Many notables have been coming to my studio recently, taking time out of their busy schedules to participate in this exhibition and helping these orphans to find a new home. This is perhaps a sign of the maturation of our society, and is not an uncommon sight. But what is particularly heartwarming, are the young stars who joyfully participated in the photoshoot. This year, we have Yoon Eun Hye, Han Hye Jen, Nancy Lang, and young mothers who joined in good spirits, leading one to expect that this would be a spectacular photography exhibition.

In the process of the photoshoot, something valuable I discovered is that, most of the participants joined for the love of the children. Like Yoon Eun Hye, who only spent thirty minutes taking the photos, but remained in the studio for two hours after to play with the kids and feeding them milk. When Yoon Eun Hye was with the kids, my studio felt like there were two mischievous kids, vibrant, boisterous and full of life and exuberance. In these situations, perhaps the strong maternal instincts in the female artistes are sparked by the plight of the orphans, explaining their behaviour. However, for the most parts, male artistes seldom express their feelings and love, or play together with the children.

October 7th, 2007 - Eunhye's Birthday Party

Eunhye held her birthday party on October 7, 2007. The MC was a comedian by the name of Yang Sae Hyun (from Utchatsa) who is a year younger than Eunhye and is a huge fan of her. Special guests who attended were Gong Yoo, Eon, Kim Jae Wook and Jadu (the female singer in the band The Jadu). Jadu has been good friends with Eunhye ever since they were young. Gong Yoo and Kim Jae Wook had told Eunhye that they were too busy to attend, so YEunhye was very suprised and overly delighted to see them.

Eunhye changed three times during the party. She wore a green one piece dress, a black one piece mini dress and blue/purple skinny jeans and a blue top with a knit collar.

Eunhye was wonderful to her fans and did a few special things for the fans. She sang two songs - one of them was a ballad called "Geudae Negae Dashi" and one was "Saranghabnida" by Lee Jae Hoon from 'Cool'. Eunhye said "I usually only sing ballads, but I wanted to sing an upbeat one for today, so I chose this song. I sang it much better in the rehearsal so I'm sad I couldnt sing it better." Also, three fans were chosen, and received a hug from Eunhye and took each took a poloroid with her. All of the fans got a postcard, a 2008 Eunhye calendar and stickers. They also got to shake her hand and received a rose directly from Eunhye.

During question time, she was asked to strike a pose like in a CF and music came out all of a sudden, which suprised the living day lights out of her, and then she did a wave. A fan said, "When she did that sexy Eunhye-wave it reminded me of her dances in X-Man, when she was seducing Kim Jong Kook."

There was a "Detective Eunhye" game, where there were five people, and five drinks (water) in front of them. Only one of the drinks contained vinegar, and the five people had to act out so that they ALL drank the vinegar water, and Eunhye had to guess which one really DID drink the vinegar water. From the fan view, apparently it was so obvious who it was but Eunhye kept on picking on a certain person and she ended up picking the wrong person. As a punishment all of them had to hit her with a puffy stick, but none of them wanted to, so she ended up hugging each of them.

There also was a segment called Silhouette Talk. In case you aren't familiar with this game, its when the participants sit behind a curtain and answer yes or no questions, but their voices are made different so that the others dont know who they are. But in this case the voice changing didn't work, so the participants manually changed it, which was apparently very funny, but Eon was so bad at it that in the end he used his normal voice because Eunhye had already figured it out.
Q. Eunhye is very strong?
A. All said "YES", one of them added "she is so strong she was able to carry Gong Yoo very easily."
It was later revealed that Gong Yoo said that.

Q. Would you like it if Eunhye was the lead actress and you were the other lead?
A. Eon and Gong Yoo - NO
Jadu and Kim Jae Wook - YES
Eon said "Eunhye is such a big star that she would take all the spot light away from me. No, but because I am still a new actor, it would only be right for me to star with someone who is also new." Gong Yoo said "I'm getting old and Eunhye is still young who has a lot ahead of her, so she should star along side someone much better than me."

While Eunhye was getting changed, a singer by the name of "JJ" sang her debut song during the break. Eunhyt had apparently personally invited her after seeing her on the internet. JJ's good at changing her voice, so EUnhye invited her for that reason. And when asked to describe Eunhye, Kim Jae Wook said, "Eunhye is someone who you cant help but love. She is such a loveable and charming person. I find her loveable when she eats well. I find her loveable when I see her looking out for others. You cant help but fall in love with Eun Hye."

October 6th, 2007 - PIFF's Best and Worst Dresser, as Chosen by Fashion Expert Choi Eun Young

'What happened to Yoon Eun Hye, a star who is known to dress well....'

Yoon Eunhye, who has established herself as a celebrity fashionista, surprised the panel with her dress selection.

The main problem with the dress was boiled down to its awkward length. Without considering the disproportionate nature of the outfit, Eunhye's dress selection has put her amongst the worst dressers. Coupled with the dress which sat below the knee, Eunhye's ankle strapped shoes made her long legs look short, almost making it look as though they were cut in half. There was also the opinion that Eunhye should have takenmore thought into the colour selection of her dress.

September 14th, 2007 - Eunhye Speaks About the Kim Ahn Joong Controversy

Yoon Eunhye, regarding the Kim Ahn Joong replacement controversy, speaks out. "Whoever took the role would still have been happy."

Eunhye expressed her thoughts on the controversial "Kin Ahn Joong replacement" issue regarding the casting process of 'Coffee Prince'.

Cable channel StoryON's program 'Cover Story', which will be televising a special on 'Replacement Stars' on the 13th of September, had originally included a major segment on Eunhye, before they changed their minds and decided to cut it out, due to the controversy it had caused. Eunhye, through her manager, spoke out about her take on this issue.

Eunhye: "I was overjoyed by the tremendous yet undeserving love that I had received after playing Go Eun Chan in Coffee Prince. And I personally think that no matter who had played the role of Eun Chan would have equally received the same happiness and love as I had received".

Eunhye also expressed that she had only come to hear of the supposed 'Eunhye is Kim Ahn Joong's replacement' scandal through a friend, when it started to make the headlines from the 12th. On the same day, Coffee Prince's Lee YoonJung PD had personally phoned her and told her "It's far from the truth, I never offered the role to Kim Ahn Joong so please don't be misunderstood over this." Eunhye further revealed that throughout the phone conversation, both Lee PD and herself were consoling each other, telling each other "Let's not think much more of this" and ended the conversation on a happy note.

Eunhye's manager Park GeunSoo also expressed his thoughts by saying "I was worried that Eunhye would be hurt by this matter, but she was fine about all this and was actually the one who was comforting me, telling me not to worry."

September 7th, 2007 - Eunhye Reattempts at a Movie

After hitting three consecutive homeruns with 'Goong', 'The Vineyard Man' and 'Coffee Prince', and labelled as television topstar, actress Yoon Eunhye will make another attempt at a movie.

Even before Eunhye was recognised on the small screen in 'Goong', she had already made an attempt at a movie.

Eunhye had made a cameo appearance in the film 'Emergency 19' and following that Eunhye, who had just left Baby VOX, had starred alongside Ahn Jae Mo in the film 'Escaping from Charisma', where she showed a youthful image. However, the release date of the movie was unconfirmed at the time and only after Eunhye had gained popularity from 'Goong', using the strenght of her popularity, the film was finally released. The film nonethless was met with an even dose of both praise and critisism, leaving a very sour taste. A shot of Eunhye's tired face from running between 'Goong' and film opening days had even attracted a lot of media attention. Nevertheless, Eunhye, who has established herself as a defined actress through 'Coffee Prince', will once again have a shot at a movie.

There have been many scripts which have fallen on her lap, and even concrete talks regarding a number of films have taken place. Admist the talks in which both parties have shown shared interests and opinions is that they will not be leaning towards a bright/light character but rather a different character and that a transformation of image is vital. Currently there have been discussions over a film in which a number of major movie production companys are preparing together. The scenario of the film is about a girl who is a genius suffering from autism. Regarding this, a close source to Eunhye advised "we are currently looking into many projects. Soon after we discuss with Eunhye, we will make a decision on what her next project will be".

Once Eunhye comes back from her holiday in Bali, we will soon find out what she will decide to do next.

Also sharing that "One day after a day of shooting, I phoned her [to compliment her on her great acting, after watching the CP episode at home]and I got a big shock, because her voice was so different from the voice of Eunchan on the set. Kim Dong Wook (Harim) "I'm not Yoon Eun Hye."

Kim Dong Wook who played Harim in "Coffee Prince" has expressed that on many occasions he was mistaken for Eunchan, a girl disguised as a boy, played by Yoon Eun Hye. Kim Dong Wook even added a few funny instances whereby "At one time, the stylist who worked closely with Eunhye came up to me and started talking to me thinking I was Eunhye and when got a big shock when she realised it was actually me. Another time was when we were shooting the Coffee Prince mini concert scene, EUnhye was on the stage and then LYJ PD said looking at Eunhye "You can have a rest Dong Wook." At first when people were getting confused between the two of us I thought they were just teasing, but when LYJ PD made that mistake I realised that maybe I really do look like Eunhye. Now I'm so used it, I just laugh it off." Further to this, Kim Dong Wook also expressed that "Despite the fact that Eunhye is the youngest of the princes, she is a lot of compassion and looks out for us. August 30th, 2007 - Eunhye Treats Everyone at the Coffee Prince Wrap Up Dinner

Yoon Eunhye, who has received the whole nations love through "Coffee Prince". has treated everyone at the drama's wrap up party.

On the 27th, the dinner to celebrate the wrap up of the drama was held at a BBQ restaurant in Yoido, where Eunhye paid for the whole lot. As the first stage of the wrap up party, close to 100 people, including all the cast and crew enjoyed themselves, showing great displays of teamwork and taking up most of the restaurant. August 29th, 2007 - Eunhye at the Coffee Prince Special Viewing, by a fan

While Eunhye was waiting for the rest to finish, Sangeun (co-ordinator?) hugged her from behind and once again Eunhye got teary. Eon came along and was playful with Eunhye, teasing her if she was crying yet again. She was crying a lot. Eunhye, who was crying by herself, then went to the PD. The PD received her with a hug and Eunhye continued to cry a bucketful.

Crying ever more sadly than in Episode 10, where she was crying in front of HS, she was bawling. The PD continued to hug Eunhye and Seon Kyun came by and placed his arm over Eunhye's shoulder and patted with warmth.

Sunki also came by Eunhye because she was crying so much, and gently patted her with a warm gaze. As he was passing by, GY tapped her shoulder a few times and went by. Instead all he did was watch Eunhye playing around, from time to time. Eunhye approached Eon and GY and gave each of them a hug.

The fan didn't personally hear it for themselves, but Eunhye called out "Ji-chul oppa~" which GY didn't hear and so was walking by when Eunhye grabbed him and hugged him lightly. Eon also received a hug from Eunhye. At this point, all the spectators were shouting like crazy. Seeing that, I felt that Eunhye really is a warm person.

But that wasnt the end. Most of the the cast and crew went to the next destination. Most probably a restaurant or bar to carry on the party mood.

Eunhye's source advised "when it comes to the forming of a female entertainers' fanclub, usually about 100~200 ppl attend but this has already been exceeded by double" and "initially we estimated about 200 and so planned to book a place to fit that many, however it seems we now have to look for a bigger place."

Fan club registrations are placed through Eunhye's internet fan cafe (fansite) and over 100 people from Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand etc have applied. Normally, the person who is registering is obliged to pay a fixed registration fee.

When asked about the reason behind the fans' interest in joining Eunhye's fanclub, the same source answered "its most likely due to Coffee Prince's viewer-ship of about 30% winning the Monday-Tuesday drama race, as well as the fact that "Goong" has established itself as a Hallyu drama, gaining enormous popularity overseas".

August 26th, 2007 - Coffee Prince's Heroine Yoon Eunhye

"For my next project, I want to perform in an artistic production"

Yoon Eunhye has risen to stardom through her portrayal of a bright young female character in both Goong and The Vineyard Man. In Coffee Prince, Eunhye's portrayal of tomboy Eunchan has earned her the love from the whole nation. Here is the brief, yet hard-earned interview we had with a very schedule tight Yoon Eunhye.

Q. In the past you've acted as a pretty character in romantic comedic genres. This time you are playing the role of a "not so pretty" Eunchan, which i'd have imagined wouldnt have been as desirable to take up.

Eunhye: No not at all. I was actually looking for a character to bring me a new change. I thought of the role of Eunchan as taking myself up for new challenge. I took this role because I wanted to be transformed. But ofcourse, I did get a little frightened when I had to cut my hair short. This was the time when I was just starting to be labelled as being "pretty" by various media, haha.

Q. In the drama we get to see you sleep with your mouth slightly open. Is this a habit of yours or is something you created for the role?

Eunhye: Well, im not sure. Whenever i look at pictures of myself when i was a kid, and seeing as there hasnt been too much of a difference since then...~ (laughs)

Q. In the first half of the drama, we could see an Eunchan who was contemplating between HK and HS. In real life, which style of men do you go for?

Eunhye: I like a man who doesnt talk as much but still has wit and a sense of humour.* Honestly, arent both HK and HS moshitso? To me, both men are moshitso. (moshitso is like a combination of gentle, charming, cool and handsome.. or simply put someone who has style, which can mean both exterior style and interior style )

Q. Lee Yoon Jung PD who directed 'Taereungsun Soochun' (a dramatic 4 episode miniseries) has taken a more feminine approach to this drama. Im assuming there would have been a difference in working styles between LYJ PD and Hwang InRoi PD who produced Goong.

Eunhye: When it comes to producing, both PD's are brilliant. HIR PD is scary yet pin points the actors' strengths and weaknesses which helps in our development. His words of encouragement also helps us to act better. LYJ PD makes the environment of the set very enjoyable. She lets us act well by making us feel comfortable. Both PD's have given me a tremendous amount of help which im very thankful for.

Q. Through this Coffee Prince transformation you have once again been praised and acknowledged as an actress. Performance wise, what will you be doing after this?

Eunhye: Im really looking for a project that isnt solely after the general mainstream production. An artistic project. I want to perform in an artistic project where i can be acknowledged solely for my acting ability as an actress. If I wait the chance will come right?

August 13th, 2007 - 8 Peaks News

Due to the legal battle with 8 Peaks, it is known that Yoon Eunhye was not able to sign the Coffee Prince contract and receive her payroll. It has now been announced that the Coffee Prince team will be signing the official contract with Eunhye, no later than August 20th. The team has stated that the signing of the contract with Yoon Eunhye had been delayed until now because they had considered the contradiction Eunhye and 8 Peaks were having. If the contract had been signed too early, the matter of how the money received should be divided would be involved, adding on to the original contradiction. However, recently, Eunhye had begun paying her manager and makeup artist with her own money, and had also settled her own transportation fees. This matter has already been widely known and in addition, that the extension of Coffee Prince has already been confirmed, the team has decided to sign the contract with Eunhye immediately. It is said that Yoon Eunhye's pay is 20 million won per episode.

August 9th, 2007 - Eunhye's Severe Headaches Brings Health Level Concerns

On the 9th of August, a source close to Yoon Eunhye advised us that Eunhye is using her free time to go to the doctors to treat her severely intense headaches.

The same source advised us that "in the set, Eunhye is not showing these signs of pains, but during her her free time or when travelling between sets, her headaches intensify and her overall condition is poor." The source also added the fact that "the doctors have diagnosed the headaches as being due to extreme exhaustion and fatigue. The doctors have confirmed that although the pains arent severe enough to stop Eunhye from filming, it will definately worsen Eunhye's condition on the set."

If Yoon Eunhye's health deteriorates any further then the shooting of the additional episode will be left unconfirmed. So it seems, the final decision to add the extra episode is up to Eunhye's sign of approval and agreement.

August 9th, 2007 - Yoon Eunhye - I Will Not Hesitat to Sue 8 Peaks

Yoon Eun Hye - If 8 Peaks does not cancel the contract, I will not hesitate to sue... The second certification of contents to 8 Peaks.

Yoon Eunhye who's gained enormous popularity through "Coffee Prince" has filed the second certification of contents (COC) to cancel her contractual agreement with her management company, 8 Peaks.

When asked to reveal the information behind the second COC, Yoon Eunhye's side advised, if 8 Peaks refuses to cancel the contract then we will not hesitate to take it further with a lawsuit, suing them for this refusal.

The contents of the first COC stated that in January 2007, Eunhye was confirmed to be starring in the MBC drama "Que Sera Sera" and had even participated and completed the script reading/practising for the upcoming drama shoot. However, 8 Peaks had cancelled Eunhye's involvement in Que Sera Sera in order for Eunhye to star in 8 Peaks' self produced drama. Consequently, after the cancellation of Eunhye's Que Sera Sera involvement, Eunhye took a two day vacation to Kangwon-Do in March. 8 Peaks claimed that they had no knowledge of this so-called incident and spread the news of Eunhye's irresponsibility online. Hence, promoting a bad image of Yoon Eunhye.

In regards to the above, 8 Peaks has announced that it is "far from the truth".

Yoon Eunhye's manager, Park Geun-Soo has informed us that "the second COC includes evidence to support the disagreeable actions made by 8 peaks. These actions include the inproper handling and distribution/division of earnings and proceeds as well as the unilateral (one-sided) manner of making and carrying out decisions which have caused immense problems. There are plenty more which we will argue through one by one. Both sides are now at the stage of irrefutable differences, and we both know it will be difficult to settle the separation without the courts."

Park Geun-Soo also added that "Eunhye still hasnt confirmed the casting contract with Coffe Prince's distribution company MBC, however very soon the contract will be confirmed and complete, with both parties agreeing to 20 million won (approx USD$20,000) per episode.

In response to rumours circulating that Park Geun-Soo is receiving his pay from Eunhye's own pockets, Park revealed that "this rumour is not true and we havent even looked into Eunhye's next project. I dont even know how this rumour came about." Park also frustrated the fact that there are quite a few rumours circulating around due to the strong tensions between Yoon Eunhye and 8 Peaks.

Further to this, In response to the second COC, 8 Peaks has advised that "due to a recent change in business administrator, we have yet to come to understand some issues which were risen in the past. If we had known these issues, this matter wouldnt have gone this far. We will read through the 2nd COC and announce our company's stand point in this matter."

August 8th, 2007 - Actresses Who Abandom Thier Pretty Faces for a Role and End Up Outshining The Rest

Yoon Eun Hye - Abandons her feminine image to shine even more.

The proof in this is evident, as her current MBC Drama "Coffee Prince" is currently the hottest topic at the moment. In the drama Eun Hye's character dresses in male clothing. Indeed, if it wasn't for her voice, at first glance you would think her character was indeed a guy. From the hair to her mannerism, every detail is very precise. It was quite startling to see her character, which such a small build, consume so much food, ie the black bean noodles, pizza slices, and so forth. The viewers have grown to love her character on a whole different level, not because of how she looks, but because of her love for a man (i think in this case, Han Kyul) and the pain she goes through, even with holding down her breast. With this she is becoming more popular.

August 8th, 2007 - Eunhye Goes From Girl Group to Boy Actor

Yoon Eunhye stars in the soap 'The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince.' Eunhye has received glowing praise for her performance of a girl who pretends to be a man.

Few people would think of the now defunct girl band Baby V.O.X. looking at singer-turned-actress Yoon Eunhye. In her third and latest drama "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince" (following "Princess Hours" and "The Vineyard Man"), she solidified her acting talent, successfully pulling off her role as a tomboy pretending to be a man. "I'm more attracted to unusual roles," Eunhye says, "but of course confidence should come first. In all three dramas, my parts weren't necessarily a typical heroine. I'm working hard so I don't have any regrets." In the show, Coffee Prince is a coffee shop that hires only male waiters. Yoon plays Go Eunchan who pretends to be a guy in order to get a job there.

Most viewers of course won't be fooled by Eunhye as a "man." But she's still a lot of fun to watch, as Eunhye studied how men act to play the role. To get that husky voice, she's said to have sung at the top of her lungs at a karaoke hall. "After I got the part, I keenly observed how men act and talk and practiced mimicking them. I thought it would be more effective on screen to portray more of a tough kind of fellow. On set, the crew just considers me a guy."

Choi Hankyul, played by Gong Yoo, doesn't know Eunchan is a girl and develops feelings for the person he believes is a boy. The drama tackles homosexual love carefully yet provocatively. "I never thought of it as homosexual while doing Eunchan and Hankyul's hugging and kissing scenes," Eunhye says. "People say it's astonishing and shocking, but not for me. I'm a girl and Eunchan is a girl, that's all."
